Justine received her MSc from McGill University and her PhD from the University of British Columbia. She is currently an Assistant Professor at the University of Alberta in the Department of Renewable Resources. Her lab focuses on understanding the mycorrhizal ecology of intact, disturbed and restored forests, particularly in the boreal region. Of late, she is interested in functional consequences of mycorrhizas for processes such as carbon cycling.
