Dr. Suzanne Simard is a Professor of Forest Ecology at the University of British Columbia (UBC) and the leader of The Mother Tree Project. Her research focuses on the complexity and interconnectedness of nature and is guided by her deep connection to the land and her time spent amongst the trees.

Jean Roach (RPF)

Senior Research Manager

Jean Roach brings more than 40 years of forestry research expertise to her role as Senior Research Manager of the Mother Tree Project. Since 2016, she has been instrumental in selecting research sites and spearheading the planning and execution of treatments and research activities.
